2 Corinthians 3: 17 "Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." ESV
The Holy Spirit is given to everyone who receives Jesus as savior and with His indwelling there is freedom from the bondage of sin through His blood. The Holy Spirit is only given to Gods Children. When the Son sets you free you are free indeed.
