Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”ESV

Be still, stop all the business, stop all the fearing, stop all the worrying and know I am God. We don't just stop, we know (place all our faith) in God because He is able to make all things straight. Notice the promise, He will be exalted every where. Jesus is coming again and at that time every knee is going to bow and confess that He is Lord.

Psalm 77:11-15 "I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your wonders of old. I will ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds. Your way, O God, is holy. What god is great like our God? You are the God who works wonders; you have made known your might among the peoples. You with your arm redeemed your people, the children of Jacob and Joseph. Selah"ESV

In the midst of all remember what Jesus has did in your life. The miracle of your salvation and the walking with you in days past. From those things you can know that God is God and He is faithful.

1 John 2:12 "I am writing to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven for his name's sake."ESV

When you think of the word, forgiven, you may think no punishment. Or maybe I can forgive but will not forget. You might even think being able to forgive is based on how bad you are hurt or the crime committed.Point is we may see forgiveness in human terms and feelings. But God's ways are not our ways. Forgiveness from God means the sin committed is removed forever. They can not follow you because Jesus' blood blotted them out. God's ways are much higher than ours, don't you think.

Hebrews 9:22 "Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins."ESV

We might think that forgiveness means there are no consequences for our sin, but that's not so. Jesus had leave Heaven and His thrown and become a man. Jesus had to resist evil and not sin. Jesus had to allow Himself to be scourged till you almost couldn't tell He was human. Jesus had to allow Himself to be striped completely taking all dignity away. Jesus had to allow them to nail Him to the cross and worst of all, Jesus had to endure His Father in Heaven having to look away as He became what He was not, all sin. Forgiveness does not mean thee are no consequences, forgiveness means Jesus endured the consequences of God's wrath for us who receive Him as savior. Sin requires consequences and Jesus suffered ours.

Revelation 21:1 "Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more."ESV

This should give all of us great peace in our hearts. Satan and this present world with all it's hate, pain and sorrow is going to be destroyed and Jesus is going to make all new. No more division, we are going to be one family just we actually are.

James 1:26 "If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless."ESV

The word thats used here for religious means external worship. That's ceremonies, rituals and the like but it is also working in the church, being on committees, singing in the choir and these type of things. Thus one who does but doesn't bridle their tongue deceives their heart. True worship comes from a heart that is surrendered to the Lord. Being religious in outward appearance only is deceiving themselves not God. He sees all which includes our heart. That persons religion is worthless, has no value. It is only a child of God who has been saved by grace the can worship the Lord in a righteous way. Have you ever heard "actions speak louder than words" well not all the time.

James 1:27 "Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world."ESV

That true outward worship, that reflects the love of Jesus and that we are children of God is serving and walking. Serving those who can't return the same and doing it from a heart of love is the outward worship that is pleasing to the Lord. But it's also the walking with Jesus, wanting to live in a way that is not only pleasing but honoring to the Lord.
