Psalm 25: 4-5 "Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long." ESV
Teach me, lead me but we have to be teachable and be willing to be led in order for God to do that. God's word tells us not to quench the Holy Spirit, which means we can. God doesn't force, He enables and produces through us when we surrender our will for His. Jesus told us to pray "thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven". That's the way we are to approach God, fully surrendered to His will and when we do God will pour into us His mercy and grace so we can do what He has for us to do with Him.
