1 Corinthians 8:1-3 "Now concerning food offered to idols: we know that “all of us possess knowledge.” This “knowledge” puffs up, but love builds up. If anyone imagines that he knows something, he does not yet know as he ought to know. But if anyone loves God, he is known by God." ESV
We're not as smart as we think we are. God knows everything and has given us the Holy Spirit to reveal to us that which we need as we need it. The reason He does that is because if we had all the info we would decide we don't need God. When the reality is that we can't do anything apart from Him.
